Cain

Cain who at his birth was ‘gotten from the Lord’
And celebrated as the first baby whose womb-‎blood
Inundated the recently sin-soiled earth at birth
Now is denigrated as an evil harbinger of death
Why does he loom large in history’s meanness?
Actions live on long after we leave the stage
Still it must be said-Cain had religious goodness

Ordered by God to offer a sacrifice
Fraternally, ‎with Abel who knew no vice,
Together they began with same motive
Heeding and intending to worship
Eventually, the sacrifice proved divisive
Wise without revelation, Cain brought fruits
Intention: to give a pleasant  offering of nature
Citrus and vegetables, gifts with no spiritual roots
Killing a lamb would soil his religious culture
Envy looked at Abel’s messy, gory, bloody altar
Death he saw, an animal’s life to clean sin’s tar
Only his bloodless sacrifice was rejected
Now filled with anger he sought the righteous
Energetically, and killed because he was jealous

Food for thought that would make us offer the sacrifice we ought and receive the blessings the fathers sought.

The Impact of Revelation cannot be over emphasized in this days of Religious Robes. However the Foundation of God Stands sure -The of God Depart from Iniquity, that is beyond rituals and Only the ordained to Eternal life Can rise to the occasion- Sin not to have Dominion over them.Churchgoing or any religious grammar can’t suffice.

Very true. May God always give the revelation that transcends intellect, the faith that defies logic, and the love of the Word that has no defect.
