While Israel trudged through the wilderness, they encountered their cousins – the Moabites who were descendants of Lot.
Israel had a prophet called Moses who had a message. His message was timely for he arrived on the scene at the time prophecy said he would – 400 years later.
Moab, had a prophet too. A true prophet. He saw visions. God spoke to him regularly.
Both prophets knew how to approach God. Both would offer same sacrifices, speaking of the coming Lamb. Both built seven altars.
But Balaam opposed the Exodus. He sought to derail it. Moses was for it. He could see that it was the vindicated Word for that age.
Balaam had the form of godliness but not the revelation of the prophetic truth. Greed blinded his eyes. Today his name is mentioned in infamy. Be like Moses. Believe the prophecy for your era. Join the exodus.
